About Me
Hello! Thank you for visiting my website. I create functional ceramic pieces inspired by nature and fantasy, with a current focus on sculpting mushrooms, often featured on mugs and vases. My most popular designs include red-capped mushrooms and other mushroom types used as mug handles, along with flowers and whimsical creatures like frogs and fish. I am interested in textures, so my work has a strong focus on the tactile experience and often includes sculptural elements, while other pieces feature freehand design. My selling focus is cups and mugs, but I usually have a large variety of options, including spoons, bowls, trinket dishes, jewelry, and plates.
I work from my home studio based in Valley Springs, California, where I do everything myself. I enjoy mixing my own glazes as well because it offers both affordability and artistic flexibility. I love making functional art because it’s something people can use every day, adding joy to life’s simple moments. I’ve been passionate about pottery for over a decade, starting with my first class at a local community college, where I fell in love with its versatility. After earning my AA degree, I completed a double Bachelor of Arts in Ceramics and Art Administration, with minors in Community Art and Art History, at Whitworth University
